New Process to be adopted for Personalized ATM Cards in India Post

Dear Sir Madam,

This is regarding supply of ATM Cards to the Post Office Savings Bank Customers.

2. I am pleased to inform that a new vendor for printing and supply of new ATM Cards has been finalized and all preparatory activities have been completed relating to the printing of ATM cards. The dispatch of instant cards has started. The first tranche of Personalized cards will be dispatched on receipt of Indents from Circles.

3. In view of above, post Offices may be directed to place the indents for instant cards through Circle CPCs to CPRC, Chennai as per the existing process. The Personalized cards indents may be sent as per the modified process attached herewith as Annexure.

4. It is also requested to issue directions to all POs about availability of ATM cards for creating awareness amongst the customers for reaching out to the nearest Post Office for availing this facility. The customers may also be encouraged to opt for Personalized cards.

ANNEXURE

Process to be adopted for Personalized Cards

i.Personalized cards may be issued by the Post Offices against request received from the customers for new and replacement of their expired/expiring cards.

ii.On receipt of request from customers, Post Offices may place the request in Finacle through CCMM menu. POs should ensure that KYC is updated properly with current address before indenting for personalized or replacement of personalized cards, to avoid non-delivery of ATM cards to customer's address.

iii.ATM PIN for personalized card will be dispatched separately by registered letter to the ATM Card Holder's address within two days of the dispatch of ATM card.

iv.The concerned Delivery Post Offices should ensure that ATM Cards and PIN mailers sent through registered letter is delivered to the ATM Card holders only.

v.These ATM cards will be activated after 24 hours of delivery and the first transaction can be done in any ATM kiosk.
